2nd year undergraduate in Literature
I didn't really know much about financial markets and I was anxious if I could join without prior knowledge and how much I could contribute to the club, but I was really surprised by the supportive environment.
Everyone was welcome from first year undergrads to Phds, from students with finance/economics background to people from completely unrelated fields. It was all about learning by doing, with a lot of fun.
Final year student in Economics
An amazing experience! We were actually responsible for investing real money! And everybody in the team had a say. On top of that, I could talk to a lot of representatives of the sponsoring institutions about career opportunities with them in an informal and relaxed environment.
Part III Mathematics student
I wouldn't want to have missed out on being part in this. I learned a lot about making investment decisions, the particular industry I was analysing and about the various opportunities in financial markets. A real eye opener!
MPhil in Finance student

This way I wasn't just one of thousand anonymous applicants, but already had contacts within some banks to refer to once the application process started.
3rd year Land Economy student
It was a lot of work, but it was definitely worth it. Now, I not only know more about stock markets and the various career opportunities in investment banking, but I also made some really good friends from different fields, I would not have made contact with otherwise.
It's a great opportunity for everyone who considers a career in the City and a great chance to meet some very bright and interesting people.
